Bemis Arts

A sampling of posters and other promotional materials that I created for some of the Bemis Arts community's recent shows.

From the Bemis Arts website: "The Bemis Building’s Annual Shows feature open artists’ studios and visiting artist exhibitions in the hallways. There is also an acoustic music stage with performances on both show dates. For nearly a century, the towering letters of the Bemis Company sign have dominated the skyline just south of Pioneer Square, marking the edge of Seattle’s industrial district. With 30 artist live/work lofts, the building represents an extremely unusual industrial artifact. The Bemis Building is always a tough act to beat at 55 South Atlantic Street."

Logo for the Bemis Arts community. It's based on an imprint that appeared on the bags manufactured by the Bemis Brothers Company whose factory was housed in the building before it was converted into artist lofts.

11x17" print poster for the spring 2017 Bemis show. The design is bold and contemporary, uses bright greens to evoke spring and highlights artwork from some of the resident artists.

Print postcards for the spring 2015 show. The image shows the Seattle skyline as viewed from the Bemis building.

11x17 print poster for the fall 2015 show. The show took place over Halloween weekend and was masquerade and costume-themed.

11x17 print poster for the spring 2014 show. The use of warm spring green conveyed the season of the show while the birds and telephone poll evoke the urban environment in which the Bemis is located.
